Two ways to get reference material into a Project:
- Uploaded knowledge — static documents attached directly to the Project
- Connectors — live links to external systems (Google Drive and Gmail are the named examples) that pull current source data rather than a fixed copy
Decision rule: upload a static document when the reference material is genuinely fixed or finalized. Use a connector when the underlying source of truth is going to keep changing and the Project should always be working from the live version — not a snapshot that quietly goes stale the moment the source document is updated elsewhere.
Curate, don't dump. Knowledge sources compete for the same context budget described back in Module 1 — everything attached to a Project is competing for space with instructions, conversation history, and output on every single conversation that Project hosts. Irrelevant or redundant material in the knowledge base doesn't just waste space once; it degrades every future conversation, not only the one where it was added.
